Oh, this one gave me the creeps. You are a brave woman, Jeanette Winterson. I don't like cellars very much, it doesn't matter how nice they may look like. I think it is because they give me always the sensation of being entombed. By the way, I find intriguing that two of your stories (The Second-Best Bed, in your book "Christmas Days" and The Door in 'Mind Over Matter') involve people being entombed. As for 'Dr. Ghost'... isn't odd that he left right away after you saying I'M ALIVE? He certainly got the message!
